The Firefly Who Guided the Way Home

One evening, a little girl was picking flowers in the forest and lost track of time. By the time she looked up, the sky had turned completely dark, and she couldn't find her way home. She was so scared that she began to cry.

A tiny firefly saw her crying beneath a tree. Even though the firefly was afraid of the deep, dark forest too, it wanted to help her.

Gathering all its courage, the firefly flew out and glowed with a warm golden light in front of the girl. "Follow my light," it said. "I'll lead you home."

The girl followed the firefly's glow through the dark forest path. Along the way, more fireflies joined in, until a beautiful golden trail of light lit the way ahead.

At last, the girl arrived safely home. She thanked the brave little firefly with all her heart, and the firefly felt proud that even though it had been afraid, it had found the courage to help a new friend.

Even the smallest and most frightened among us can achieve something wonderful, if we find the courage to help someone else.
