The Mouse and the Little Umbrella
⏱ 3–5 min
One day, it rained heavily from the very morning. A little boy named Ton had forgotten to bring his umbrella to school. When class ended, he stood at the school gate, worried, watching the rain fall.
His classmate Ploy walked up carrying her own beautiful rainbow-colored umbrella. Seeing Ton standing there getting wet, she asked, "Did you forget your umbrella? Come share mine with me."
The two of them walked home together under the one rainbow umbrella. Even though they had to squeeze in close together, they laughed and chatted happily the whole way.
Along the way, raindrops splashed into rainbow-colored droplets as they hit the umbrella. The two friends had fun jumping over puddles and looking for a real rainbow in the sky together.
Ton felt so grateful that Ploy had shared her umbrella with him. From that day on, he promised himself he would share with his friends too, just as Ploy had shared with him.
Sharing even a small thing with someone else can turn a bad day into a happy one.
