The Little Hedgehog and the Rain

A little hedgehog was busy gathering berries in the forest when dark grey clouds suddenly began gathering overhead.

Soon the rain began pouring down hard. With no shelter nearby, the little hedgehog was quickly soaked through and shivering with cold.

He tried tucking himself under a mushroom cap, but it was much too small to keep the rain off. Just then, a kind rabbit spotted him and quickly invited him into her warm, cozy burrow.

The two of them sipped warm tea together and shared happy stories while the rain drummed steadily outside. Before long, they had become close friends.

When the rain finally stopped, the hedgehog thanked the rabbit warmly and promised that next time she needed help, he would always share his berries with her.

Helping one another in hard times is how warm friendships begin.
