The Little Bear's Winter Sleep
⏱ 4–6 min
One day, a little sparrow was flying home when she looked up and saw dark rain clouds rolling in fast. She flapped her wings harder, hurrying to reach home before the storm arrived.
On the way, she spotted a tiny beetle stuck in a puddle on the ground, struggling helplessly, unable to move at all as the rain began falling harder and harder.
The sparrow hesitated for a moment, knowing that getting wetter would make it much harder to fly home. But in the end, she decided she would help the little beetle first.
She gently used her beak to nudge and guide the little beetle toward a dry spot under a large leaf, even as she herself grew soaked from the pouring storm.
At last the little sparrow reached her nest, soaked to the bone but with a happy heart. Her mother praised her kindness, while the little beetle stayed safe and dry under the leaf. Both had made it through the storm together.
Helping others, even when it costs us some comfort, is always worth it.
Rushing home before a storm hits, a little sparrow finds a tiny beetle stuck in a puddle and must decide whether to stop and help or fly on to safety.
