The Girl and the Magic Balloon
⏱ 3–5 min
It had rained heavily for three days straight. The children in the village were bored of being stuck indoors, staring gloomily at the rain streaming past the windows.
Ploy, a small girl, had a fun idea. She grabbed some old newspaper and folded it into a little boat, then invited the neighborhood kids to come make paper boats with her.
All the children folded their own colorful paper boats, then ran outside to the rushing rainwater stream in front of the house, ready to race their boats down the current.
Everyone launched their paper boats at once and ran alongside the street chasing their own, cheering and laughing as some boats flipped over and others surged ahead.
Even though Ploy's boat sank before the finish line, she laughed heartily along with all her friends. What had been a boring rainy day turned into one of the most fun days of that whole rainy season.
A little creativity can always turn a boring day into a wonderful memory shared with friends.
A group of children, bored from being stuck indoors during three days of rain, fold paper boats and race them down the rushing stream in front of their houses, turning a dreary rainy day into one full of fun and laughter.
